Ready to take your acting skills from the stage to the screen? In this exciting class, students will learn the essential techniques of performing for film and television. From mastering subtle facial expressions to hitting your mark and understanding framing, this class gives you the tools to bring characters to life in front of the lens. Work directly with a film director and tv/film actor who will help build your confidence in front of the camera and receive professional feedback that helps you grow as an on-screen performer.

Whether you dream of starring in movies or just want to explore a new side of acting, this class is your chance to shine. Explore a few of the following:

Meet the Instructors

David Bradburn (Writer/Director) Bradburn’s award-winning films have screened in over 70 festivals across the country, Europe, Asia, as well as on Amazon, cable and PBS. Among other awards his films over 20 film projects, hundreds of corporate, and thousands of educational videos have won awards from Best Director, People’s Choice and Best Cinematography. The script for his most recent short film, “My Best Nut”, was an official selection at the Windy City International Film Festival and won Best Dark Comedy at Austin Micro Short Film Festival. The film will begin its festival run this fall. Bradburn brings over 30 years of experience having worked in the Indie film world, corporate video world, Network television as well as having a background in social work and education. When not on set, he spends most of his time working and planning and thinking about being — back on set.

Nick Eversman (TV/Film Actor) is an American actor known for his dynamic and diverse roles on both television and film. Hailing from Crystal Lake, the veteran actor has graced both the stage and screen for over three decades. After honing his craft at Chicago’s renowned Second City, he relocated to Los Angeles. Eversman is known for his work in acclaimed and award-winning projects such as The Good Lord Bird, The DUFF, and Pretty Boy, as well as memorable guest star appearances on hit shows like House, Once Upon a Time and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Most recently, he took the stage as Thomas Crockett in RCSA’s production of A Cripple Creek Christmas Carol. This marks Nick’s second time teaching for RCSA, having previously taught private acting lessons in Los Angeles.
