Veterans Program

Mission:
To embrace, engage, and encourage our veteran community through the power of the arts.

Raue Center would like to extend a special thank you to all of our veterans in our community! We want to provide a special offer for those who have sacrificed in service to our country.

Many veterans have returned or are returning to a completely different “everyday,” and the adjustments can be extremely difficult. As the leading Performing Arts Center in McHenry County, Raue Center for the Arts wants to support our veterans and ensure they are a celebrated part of the community by providing opportunities to enjoy live music, comedy, and professional theatre.

Raue Center sets aside a select number of complimentary seats for some performances.*

If you are a veteran or know one who would enjoy a night of live entertainment, please contact Raue Center’s Box Office at 815.356.9212 or boxoffice@rauecenter.org for more details and to schedule a night out at the theater.

How to Register

We look forward to welcoming you to Raue Center! To register for our Veterans Program, please provide your name, contact information and documentation confirming your veteran status.

We accept multiple forms of veteran identification, including:

  • A driver’s license or state-issued ID with a veteran designation
  • A VA-issued Veteran ID Card or Veteran Health Identification Card
  • A DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
  • Other documentation confirming veteran status

A DD214 is one accepted option; it is not required.

You may present your documentation in person at our Box Office at 26 N. Williams Street, Crystal Lake, or email your name, mailing address, email, and phone number, and a copy of an accepted document to boxoffice@rauecenter.org.

If emailing documentation, please cover or redact sensitive information, such as your Social Security number. We only need to verify your name and veteran status.

*In the unfortunate event that there are no more complimentary seats available, a 25% discount will be applied in its place. Exclusions include programs that are fundraisers or rentals.

Refund/Exchange Policy
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Raue Center does not offer refunds on tickets purchased even if the performance is canceled or postponed. In the event of cancellation due to acts of god or weather, Raue Center will strive to reschedule the event but it is clearly understood that the cancellation might not be possible with the Artist. In the event the performance cannot be rescheduled, a credit for a future Raue Center show(s) will be issued. Please contact the Box Office for more information.
