This engaging and energetic class introduces students to the dynamic world of musical theatre dance. Designed for beginners, the class focuses on building a strong foundation in dance techniques commonly used in Broadway-style performances, including jazz, ballet, and character work.

Each session includes a warm-up, choreography practice, and time for creative expression. By the end of the course, students will have the confidence to perform a short routine inspired by a classic or contemporary musical theatre number. No prior dance experience is required. NOTE: Comfortable clothing and dance shoes (jazz shoes or sneakers) are recommended.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Jacqueline Galliano (Dancer & Choreographer) is excited to be returning to Raue Center School For Arts to teach class after just having choreographed their summer camp production of Frozen Jr. and MTI’s Broadway Jr. Revue: Pure Imagination!! Recent Credits: Much Ado About Nothing (McPherson Theatre/T. Quinn), Lex’s Revenge (Gorilla Films/K. Weston) & Promises (Gorilla Films/M. Iannone). She is a 2023 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in Theatre Arts and Dance. Galliano teaches dance classes at Evolution Dance Experience in Elmhurst. She is a member of Views Dance Company and will be traveling to LA to compete in World of Dance!
