Raue Center believes a passion for performing arts begins at an early age. Our fine arts education program, Mission Imagination, offers fine arts programming year-round for students in McHenry County. Raue Center’s Mission Imagination has served over 400,000 students to date. 

Past programs include live music & theatrical performances including Wings of Courage, The Jungle Book, Curious George, and The Rainbow Fish, and many more.  This program has served over 400,000 students to date.

Terry Jacobsen – Education Consultant

Terry Jacobsen’s career in elementary teaching spans 35+ years. She began teaching in Crystal Lake School District 47 in 1990. Terry earned her master’s degree and library-media science certification from Illinois State University.

After retiring from education in 2019, Terry began a consulting position with Follett School Solutions in McHenry, IL to assist with classroom library curation. She is the creator of Teacher Librarian Connections, a blog about newly released children’s literature and recommended titles for young readers!

She and her husband have two grown sons and have lived in Crystal Lake for over 24 years.
