Step into a class where curiosity meets choreography and confidence takes center stage. This high-energy, beginner-friendly dance class invites both younger students and teens to explore the exciting world of Broadway-style movement. Blending the foundational styles of ballet, tap, and jazz, students will build strong technique while discovering how each style contributes to storytelling on stage.

Each session is thoughtfully structured to keep students engaged and progressing starting with a dynamic warm-up to improve flexibility and strength, moving into skill-building across all three dance styles, and culminating in learning short, expressive combinations that help students pick up choreography quickly and confidently. Whether your student is brand new to dance or looking to sharpen their skills, this class meets them where they are and helps them grow.

Perfect for actors, dancers, and anyone eager to move, this class emphasizes not just technique, but performance quality, musicality, and self-assurance. By the end of the session, students won’t just know the steps, but they’ll own them! Feeling more comfortable and capable in ballet, tap, jazz, and understanding just how this all ties into musical theatre.
No prior dance experience is required. Just a willingness to try something new and have fun doing it.

PLEASE NOTE: Comfortable clothing is recommended, and while ballet, tap, and jazz shoes are encouraged, they’re not required to get started.

Maddie Lukas is returning to RCSA after being the Teacher Assistant for their Dancing Through Life: Broadway Musical Workshop over spring break and is excited to be teaching Dance Foundations: Triple Threat Training. While this is her first teaching role with Raue Center School For The Arts, she took classes here when she was younger. She has 15 years of dance experience and is trained in multiple styles, though her personal favorites are hip hop and ballet. She also teaches at her dance studio in styles including tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and poms. Maddie is thrilled to continue her teaching career here at RCSA and is looking forward to passing on her knowledge and love for dance!
