Sage On Stage
Sage Studio is proud to once again collaborate with Raue Center as part of our popular production program, Sage On Stage! We have started a great new holiday tradition!
Students will spend two weeks honing their musical theatre skills and learning all about the “behind the scenes” of what goes into a mainstage Raue Center show–while working right alongside our cast of professional Chicagoland actors. Students will get to build on all the great performance fundamentals we teach in the classroom, then put those skills into practice for an audience as part of the youth cast for our very own full-scale production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, performing for two weekends on the Raue Center stage!
Registration fee includes two complimentary tickets to the show of your choice, with additional tickets available for purchase for friends and family! All registered students will be part of the show!
Registration Deadline: October 11, 2019 SOLD OUT!
Prerequisites: Students must have attended at least ONE Sage Studio class in the past year, or be registered for an upcoming class, or present equivalent theatre experience. (If presenting equivalent experience, please email a resume to email@example.com prior to registering.)
Students should also be available for all performance dates and tech rehearsals (see Timeline section). To be considered for a larger speaking role, students must be available for the full rehearsal period; smaller roles are available for those with conflicts, but students should be available for the majority of the rehearsal period. If you have specific questions contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SAGE BACK STAGE
New for this year’s production, we are introducing our Sage Backstage program, where students who might not be as interested in being onstage, but want to dive deep into the technical aspects of what goes into a professional production can learn hands-on from our Raue Center production staff and work side by side with them on this year’s show.
This program meets at the same time as our actor rehearsals, and focuses on all the fun stuff behind the scenes–including scenic artistry, props and costume crafts, lighting and sound. Students in this program will also get to be part of the show itself as our run crew, and get to experience the excitement of putting together the show from start to finish!
Ages: 15-18 (high school freshmen eligible if 14)
Registration deadline: October 11, 2019.
Prerequisites: Students must be a current high school student.
Students should also be available for all performance dates and tech rehearsals (see Timeline section above). If you have specific questions on the timeline, contact us at email@example.com.
All registered students will be part of the show! Students will get to work on all technical aspects, but if your student has a particular interest and experience in a specific area of technical theatre, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with details. Everyone will have a special part to play in this interactive theatrical experience.
