Sage On Stage

Raue Center’s Sage Studio proudly introduces SAGE ON STAGE, an educational production program designed to take students from page to stage!

Students spend two weeks honing their musical theatre skills and learning all about the “behind the scenes” of what goes into a mainstage Raue Center show–while working right alongside a cast of professional actors. Students build on all the great performance fundamentals taught in Sage Studio classes and then put those skills into practice for an audience as part of the youth cast for a full-scale mainstage production. 

Registration fees for SAGE ON STAGE production classes include two complimentary tickets. Additional tickets are available for purchase for friends and family! All registered students will be part of the show!

COVID-19 UPDATE:

As you know, Sage Studio and everyone at Raue Center has been monitoring the COVID-19 crisis closely–and our first priority has been the health and safety of our families, staff, and community. Today, based on the most recent capacity guidelines for public gatherings, as well as current guidance from state and local authorities and the CDC, and with the cooperation of the entire Raue Center staff and Board of Directors, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

We plan to transfer the rights for this show to November/December 2021–and we hope you’ll be able to join us for what will surely be an even bigger celebration. We will announce the exact dates as soon as they are finalized on our institutional calendar.

SAGE BACK STAGE

Sage Backstage is a new and unique opportunity for local high school aged students who want to get a chance to learn about all of the different aspects of theatrical production that are not typically in the spotlight. We are thrilled to offer students the chance to try their hand at set building, lighting, sound, and the myriad other jobs that help the shows we love to see run smoothly. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved with Raue Center’s SAGE BACKSTAGE.

This program meets at the same time as SAGE ON STAGE production rehearsalsand focuses on all the fun stuff behind the scenes–including scenic artistry, props and costume crafts, lighting and sound. Students also get to be part of the show itself as run crew and get to experience the excitement of putting together the show from start to finish!
