Raue Center is proud to present one of the most exciting artists in contemporary culture! Click Here to see Emily on the Ellen Degeneres Show!

Emily Bear has been called a “natural”, a “genius”, and “one of the greatest child prodigy’s ever”. We simply think she is a great kid who has a whole lot of talent! The afternoon will consist of a 30-minute concert and then a discussion with her mom, dad and grandmother. This is a unique opportunity to witness a great talent and to explore fascinating world of a child prodigy.

Biography
Emily is 6 years old and studies piano with Emilio del Rosario at The Music Institute of Chicago (MIC). She first started piano lessons a year ago this past July at the age of four. Recently, she began studying jazz improvisation with Alan Swain. Emily has been playing piano for only 1 year and 3 months!

Emily received national attention when she was a featured guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show on October 3, 2007. She just opened for the Ramsey Lewis Trio on October 17, 2007, playing a 30-minute solo piano concert mixing classical, jazz and her own compositions.

Emily played a similar concert at Ravinia Music Festival this past summer when she was 5 years old, performing a solo 40 minute program. She is the youngest performer in Ravinia’s more than 100 year history.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $7 for children under 15.
