Where are you located?
Raue Center is located at 26 N. Williams Street in the heart of historic, downtown Crystal Lake. From Route 14, travel north on Main Street. From Main Street, turn northwest on Brink Street or Woodstock Avenue, and left on Williams Street. Raue Center is located on the right hand side of Williams Street.
Can I take the Metra train to the theatre?
The Metra Northwest stops less than two blocks from the theatre. The last train to Chicago and the Northwest suburbs departs at 11:59 pm weekdays and 9:00 pm weekends. Visit the Trains & Parking section for more details.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. You won’t find Chicago’s $18 garage fees in Crystal Lake. One thousand spaces of free parking exist within three blocks of Raue Center. The Metra lots and Home State Bank Lot are free in the evening. In addition, Metra permit parking and daily fee lots are free on evenings and weekends.
Please note that our downtown merchants depend on available parking spaces in front of their businesses for their livelihood. We ask that you avoid parking on Williams Street during business hours.
Where can I get something to eat?
You are in luck! There are many fine restaurants in the area. Please refer to our preferred business directory for additional options. We also sell light snacks and refreshments at our concession stand. In addition, refreshments including a bar are open half an hour prior to each show in the theatre galleries.
Can I bring my children to Raue Center?
Yes, however, regardless of age, each person must have a ticket.
Is photography or videography permitted at the theatre?
The use of cameras and video/sound recorders inside the theatre is strictly prohibited by law. The use of such devices may result in the confiscation of memory cards and video tapes.
What time should I arrive at the theatre?
We suggest you arrive approximately 20–30 minutes before curtain as late comers can only be seated at the discretion of theatre management.
What is your late seating policy?
We know you are a fantastic, considerate theatre patron and you won’t come late.
I am a fantastic, considerate theatre patron but what if I am still running late?
Raue Center is an intimate 800-seat house. Due to the configuration of our theatre, and to avoid disturbing other patrons, we may not be able to seat you immediately. Don’t miss out — give yourself plenty of time to arrive.
Why haven’t I received my tickets yet?
We typically mail out tickets as soon as your order is placed. If it is less than two weeks out to your show date, and you have not yet received your tickets, please call the box office so that a replacement pair may be printed for you.
What are my options if I lose my ticket?
Please call the box office and they will reprint your tickets and have them waiting for you on the night of the event. There is a $2 per ticket service charge for reprinting.
What is your standby/wait list policy?
For sold out performances, the box office may start a standby waitlist. If seats become available box office staff will contact you.
What is a “Meet and Greet Event?”
A Meet and Greet event is a pre- or post-show intimate reception with a guest artist or theatre professional followed by a short wine and cheese reception.
Are hearing devices available?
A limited number of hearing devices are available. Please let us know when ordering your tickets that a hearing device is needed.
Is the theatre handicap accessible?
Yes, Raue Center is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know at the time you book your tickets if you will require assistance or a wheelchair location so that we may prepare for your visit.
What happens if I can’t use my tickets for tonight?
There are no refunds or exchanges on ticket sales. You have a couple of options. You may give your tickets to a friend or you may choose to donate your tickets back to the theatre. If you donate your tickets, we can send you a letter for tax purposes. Please call the box office prior to the performance so that we can release your seats to the waiting list.
